Nordic Bridge Partner AB (NBP) is pleased to announce the establishment of a strategic collaboration with the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), marking an important step in strengthening institutional cooperation between Nigeria and Sweden and supporting the continued development of sustainable education financing systems.

The collaboration follows a constructive institutional engagement with Funmi Alagbada, Board Secretary and General Counsel of NELFUND, and Nasiru Ayitogo, Technical Adviser to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. As part of the collaboration, Nordic Bridge Partner has presented an executive capacity-building and institutional study tour programme designed specifically for NELFUND’s leadership team. The proposed programme combines executive education, peer learning and institutional benchmarking, providing participants with direct exposure to advanced approaches in education financing, governance, digital transformation and public-sector service delivery.

The programme includes executive learning engagements with the Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education, focusing on strategic governance, sustainable fund management, alternative financing models, institutional leadership and organisational effectiveness. Participants will also engage in institutional peer reviews with Sweden’s national student financial aid authority, CSN, as well as selected digital governance agencies and public institutions.

Through these engagements, the collaboration aims to provide practical insights into student loan administration, repayment systems, digital verification processes, governance frameworks and long-term sustainability models that can support the continued growth and effectiveness of education financing initiatives in Nigeria.

The partnership reflects Nordic Bridge Partner’s commitment to facilitating meaningful international cooperation that goes beyond knowledge sharing and supports tangible institutional outcomes. By connecting public institutions with relevant expertise, proven frameworks and peer-learning opportunities, NBP seeks to create pathways for innovation, stronger governance and improved service delivery across critical sectors.

Speaking on the significance of the collaboration, Nordic Bridge Partner noted that strong institutions are fundamental to expanding educational access and creating sustainable opportunities for future generations.

“Education financing plays a critical role in national development. Through this collaboration, we aim to support knowledge exchange, strengthen institutional capacity and create opportunities for learning from successful international models that can be adapted to local realities.”

The collaboration also reflects the growing importance of international partnerships in addressing shared development challenges through practical cooperation, institutional learning and long-term capacity building.

Nordic Bridge Partner looks forward to working closely with NELFUND and its leadership team to deliver meaningful outcomes that support organisational excellence, operational effectiveness and expanded educational opportunities for Nigerian students.
